Ava Hollis, York High School Class of 2021 has been awarded the 2021 Service Above Self Scholarship. Ava will be attending the University of Virginia to study neuroscience. Ava applied because service is an integral part of her life. She has volunteered at Elmhurst Hospital and started an online summer science program for Middle School students to help them prepare for their future. At UVA, Ava hopes to continue teaching and helping others, while still playing a part in her Elmhurst community.
