Since 1955, over 400 students from IC Catholic Prep, Timothy Christian and York Community High Schools have received more than $500,000 in scholarships.

We look for students who are committed to helping others through volunteering, service projects and community-based initiatives.

Elmhurst Rotary “Service Above Self” Scholarship

Looking for an outstanding student who places an emphasis on helping others in their community. Must demonstrate financial need. One graduating senior from York, Timothy Christian, or Immaculate Conception will be awarded a $4,000 scholarship renewable for each of 4 years ($16,000 total) based on maintaining a 3.0 GPA throughout their college career.

Rebecca Kevil

2022 Recipient

Rebecca dedicated 4 years as a junior coach and role model for the Elmhurst Eagles cheer team, where her natural leadership helped the team place 2nd in by state competition. She competed on the Timothy Christian team which placed 3 years in a row at state competition. Now Rebecca is off to study architecture at Illinois State University.

Ava Hollis

2021 Recipient

Ava will be attending the University of Virginia to study neuroscience. She is excited and grateful to have been selected as a recipient of the Service Above Self Scholarship this year. Ava looks forward to representing the Rotary Club in all of her future endeavors as she strives to make a positive impact at UVA and beyond.

Abigail Pettineo 

2020 Recipient

Abigail, a pre-med biology major at University of Illinois at Chicago, is an active member in Elmhurst Rotaract Club. She is involved with several student organizations at UIC including philanthropy, student government, and Honors College advisory group. When Abbey is not in classes, or serving the community, she enjoys dancing and playing the cello.

Liam is a sophomore attending Marquette University enrolled in the nursing program.  He was president of the York High School Interact Club.
